In a shop and some new creations

I've been back at Making Spaces Marketplace again this week.

Some of my fellow market space holders were the delightful Danette from Sami Bop -

who designs and makes cute children's clothes using vintage and recycled fabrics.

Mary from Orange Who -

Orange Who

makes sweet little people's clothes.

Christine from Christine's Millinery -

who makes amazing hats, and not just fancy ones, she has a range of everyday hats too!

While I was there one day some gorgeous soaps from Inner Earth Soap arrived -

The shop is looking amazing!
If you are in the Parramatta area you really should pop in and have a look.

I have also got my creating mojo back -

I have been noticing that my big chunky necklaces don't seem as popular at the moment.
Is it the season or the economy or just the fashion?
I'm not sure but I have loads of chunky beads, so I decided to design some long necklaces with chain and a few stone beads.
And some shorter ones which have a more dainty vibe -

What do you think?
Do you wear necklaces in the winter? If so what style do you tend to go for?

Glenbrook Markets

What a beautiful day!
Perfect weather for a day at the market.

You have to get there early so that that you can be set up early.
then you go shopping!

There are bagels, organic fruit and veggies and fresh fish.
Great coffee to go with my breakfast blueberry bagel.

It's a friendly market, the other stallholders are lovely and a good mix of local customers and passing tourists.

Samibop

Danette Rowse has created her own children’s clothing label using quality vintage and recycled fabrics. She individually makes each item herself in the Blue Mountains, Australia.

Sami Bop was started early in 2006 as a small project and has slowly expanded with three monthly markets and a showcase of styles now at The Nook Art and Craft Gallery, Upstairs, 133a The Mall, Leura.

Fabrics date back from the 1950s onwards and consist mainly of woven fabrics with interesting combinations of prints and patterns.

“I have been sewing since I was eleven years old, and since studying fashion I have used my skills to create an innovative and original concept in children’s clothing.”

“It’s wonderful to be doing something I really enjoy while I’m at home with my own children”.

Styles are for both boys and girls in sizes 00 to 5.

You can find Samibop on etsy too.
