Monday's treasuries

It's summer!
And the DUST (down under street team of Australian sellers on etsy) have been blitzing the treasuries to show just what we have down here.

I was thrilled to be included in two of them last week.

Feliciafairy chose BoosTees Barney Blue Owl tshirt in her bright and breezy day at the beach.

Emma of feliciafairy has many talents and her specialty is converting underwear into goreous topwear - like this lovely colourful slip dress.
I am already the owner of one of her creations - I'm very tempted by this one as well.

Deb of twocheekymonkeys fame selected another BoosTees creation - Mungo mushroom man amongst her favorite picks for an Aussie summer.

Deb makes beautiful classic jewellery - and I just cant go past this stunning necklace in my favorite colour.

And lastly I got carried away after I spotted some amazing red cowboy boots and found some Australian items to co-ordinate with them.
To me these colours represent the bushfire season here.

Monday's treasuries

I feel so honoured to have been chosen for three gorgeous treasuries last week.

The DUST (down under street team) is having a sale featuring turquoise, aqua and ocean for the month of December.
So two people picked up on this theme.
First the multi-talented Samara from Maddo picked my Turquoise Desert necklace.

It's very difficult to pick a favorite thing from Maddo as there are so many lovely things - jewellery, Christmas decorations, cards and gift tags, but I just love the whimpy of this neckace -

The very busy Meg of Arnomadix fame also featured DUST bargains but I managed not to save the screen shot.
Anyway I can show you something equally as whimsical from Meg's shop -

And then I was thrilled to see my Spring Sunset necklace in Realisationcreations' beautifully subtle pastels collection.

Natalia is an extraordinary jeweller working with lovely gemstones and silver wire mainly.
You must agree that this one is stunning-

Many thanks to the very lovely Kirsten of paperbyforgetmenot for including BoosTees heart tshirt in her Christmas inspired treasury.

Please have a look at paperbyforgetmenot's shop - you'll be sure to find gorgeous cards like these - and other little christmas gifts.

And inspired by all the christmassy thoughts around me, I posted this collection.

check back next week for more treasury goodies!

More of the necklaces I made last week in my beading frenzy.
These I call "many treasures".

I can wish for whatever I want - right?

OK, I wish for this -

the california desk by jrustenfurniture

I dont know where I would put it!
Maybe I should get rid of the kids!

However on a more practical note - but no more neccessary -

And then, of course, totally unpractical for a day like today - it's 35 degrees C!

But it's too lovely to ignore.

Monday treasury.

One rather lovely treasury for me last week.
A fruity little number from radicalglass -

Mandy was kind enough to include my strawberry cocktail fingerless mitts from BoosTees.

Radicalglass is Mandy's shop for her fused glass work.
She has some amazing pendants but I just love these bright and happy earrings -

Wishlist Wednesday - 28

Is it because it's a grey, rainy day that I feel like having some colour in my life today?

Everything in this shop is fabulous - I love this unique raku pottery.

I dont know if I would be game to actually wear these shoes - but I love looking at them.

And something a liitle more modest, more practical, but no less colourful!

Monday - a no-treasury day!

Instead I'll tell you what I did yesterday.

G and I went for bushwalk.
Not a long one but the tracks are not maintained and are a little overgrown and muddy.
I stepped in some mud and it oozed over the top of my boots and down inside - not a very nice feeling!

We walked to some rock formations called 'the three brothers' as opposed to 'the three sisters'!
along the tracks that were developed the Hydro Majestic hotel.

It's a great time of year for waratah spotting.

They are like beacons in the bush.

The track is close to the edge of the escarpment in places, overlooking the Megalong Valley.

These guys would have a slightly different view - and a whole lot more scarey!

At the bottom of the cliff is a very large overhang called the Colliseum.

It was a hot climb back up involving lots of steps

including these wooden ones - it was a bit of a tight squeeze.

Blogtoberfest - last day

I cant believe it!
It's the last day of blogtoberfest already!

and I managed to blog every day!
Quite an acheivement.

Mind you I did cheat a bit - on the weekend we were away I blogged in advance and scheduled it for the right day. But that in itself is something, because I learned something new - how to date your posts.

I also had an incredibly successful giveaway.
I met some lovely people, found some wonderful blogs and gained a few new followers.

I expanded my horizons - with my own posts, with reaching other bloggers and crafters, and going places I had never been before.

I feel like I could go on for ever - but I probably wont.
It'll be back to the once or twice a week, but hopefully with some new ideas and extra energy.

Am I coming back again next year for blogtoberfest?- you bet!
See you then!

What I've been up to this week

... more of the same!

I made some tshirts for some orders -

finished some more mitts,

made some more memory wire bracelets.

The turquoise and red coral necklace I finished last week sold at the weekend so I made another one in those colours but with different beads.

Then I got stuck in that colour scheme.

Tried to get out of it -

Finally broke away with something very classic (but not very exciting!) -

I have also remade some bracelets for a customer's bridesmaids.

And made some things for a craft swap - shh! it's a secret - I'll show you next week!

Wishlist Wednesday - 27 - blogtoberfest day 28

Today is my big sister's birthday, so I thought I would chose some things for her.

We are very different, she is elegant and sophisticated.
Loves classical elegant wares.
I'm sure she would appreciate this tea service -

She is a famous breeder of Old English Sheepdogs.
Her kennel name is Hartwyn.
People often give her OES-related gifts.
I bet she hasnt got a beaded one!

And of course we need birthday cake and a special plate to serve it on -

Happy Birthday to my sister!
