Time for a jaunt - bridges and bathing rosellas

Lucky for me that it wasn't raining today!
I planned to go for a walk to one of my favorite spots to fulfill one of my daily photo challenges.

I seem to be always a day behind with my challenges this month - and I'm only doing two! (sorry justB, I seem to have baled on #amonthof).

Anyhoo, off I set.
It was a fine sort of day.
The walk is only about an hour and goes along the line of the old zigzag that took the railway up the escarpment of the Blue Mountains , at Lapstone Hill.

Then there are steps down to the gorgeous Knapsack bridge used to carry the main road out of Sydney up Lapstone Hill and all destinations west.

I never cease to be amazed by the stonework and the elegant arches.

The design of arches is astonishing - they stay up and seem to defy gravity.

Then down the bottom in the relatively lush waters of Knapsack creek were two crimson rosellas having a bath!

I wish the photos were better, but in my defence it was a bit gloomy down there, I was a fair way from them, I was using my little compact camera and they were moving around pretty vigorously.

And my photo for the photo challenge?

Project Life 365 and other challenges

I am taking part in 3 photo challenges!
Am I mad?
I think I must be...
There is the monthly one that has been going for a while run from Fat Mum Slim's blog.

The newish one over at JustB which can be more than just a photo challenge - it is a creative challenge, but this month I am totally doing it as a photo challenge.

And then the really big one! Project Life 365 "A Community of Daily Photographic Storytellers".

They all have their daily prompts and their facebook pages, and some have flickr groups too.

I'm uploading all mine to instagram, this me here on instagram http://instagram.com/planettreasures/

And then I post them to facebook and twitter as well.
I might get around to organising them into facebook albums and I might get around to popping them in flickr as well, but at the moment that is enough to do!

Lists - do you?

 I am a great list maker.
Are you?

I make lists so I don't forget things. My memory isn't what it was.
But also I read once that writing lists is one way of being efficient. That the people who you think remember everything only do so because they have written stuff down.

I write a shopping list (and then usually don't stick to it)

I write a list of my stock in my B & M shop The Nook.

I write a daily to-do list.

And then there are the challenges I'm taking part in - Fat Mum Slim photo a day -

We have a camping/bushwalking list of things to take that is kept in the "camping" cupboard.

When I'm at the markets I write a list of things that I've sold.

I have a Christmas card list.

A supplies list -

And so on and so on!

How many lists do you have?
