Tuesday's treasuries

Thanks to all the wonerful people who have included by goods in their treasuries this week.

Deb of dspdavey was kind enough to put me in two!
This one includes some beads from my destash shop planetdebris.

And this one a brooch by BoosTees.

I love the way Deb has co-ordinated her wardrobe treasury.
These sweet earrings designed by Deb would go so well in her collection.

Hello again to Sharon Clancy!!
Arent these just the most beautiful colurs?

Look what I found in Sharon's shop -

I love it!

What a great theme in this treasury by jessicalynneart.

Mad about - going green

"It's not easy being green"! in the words of a famous amphibian!

"Green" has so many meanings these days!

It can mean eco-friendly, save the planet, be environmentally friendly.

It can mean innocent or naive.

People turn green when they are jealous.

Or being new to something.

Green has a whole new meaning when you feel seasick.

Green is not a colour that I wear or decorate with, yet I love green fields and green trees!

Green is a gorgeous colour to accessorise with and there are amazing green creations.

And of course you should always eat your greens!

7 things I have never done

another 7 things sunday post!

1. Watched Oprah, and now I hear her show is finishing, so maybe I never will.

2. Learned to crochet - but I suspect I'm not the only one.

Now before all you crochet experts say anything, I dont have anything against crochet, I think it can be amazingly beautiful and versatile - I just dont want to go there.

3. Been on a cruise. I think you are either a cruisey person or you aren't.

I aren't.

4. Owned a dog. I was quite keen a few years ago, before marriage and kids, for company I guess. The dog I wanted was this -

an Hungarian Puli.

but I didnt.
and I guess I never will. I'm really a cat person after all.

5. Participated in a competitive race. I dont run, walk, cycle, swim competitively. We never had athletics at school or out of school. I have walked in fun runs (the ones you are allowed to run in).

The closest I came was at the kid's infant's school when i tried the mum's sack race - but I fell over! Does that count? I dont think so, therefore I maintain I have never 'raced'.

6. Learned to roller blade.

I always wanted to when the kids were younger and had rollerblades, but I didn't and now that I have had one fractured ankle, I dont suppose I ever will learn.

7. Tightrope walked!

But then who has?

To market, to market -

Another one of my irregular posts about markets.

It's a bit of a quiet time market-wise at this time of year.
A perfect time to do some planning for the coming spring festival season.

So what do you do with your 'down time'?

Apart from ordering more supplies and building your stock up?
Well every year I tell myself I'm going to do that - but.....well maybe I will this year!

Maybe your stall needs a revamp?
I know mine does!

These things are on my to-do list

- get some new table cloths
- get a new display for earrings
- make my display more on eye level

I've been looking at what other people do with tables cloths.
My friend Chris recommends that crinkly velvet stuff, because it doesnt need ironing.

I like to use a pale neutral colour to display my jewellery on, as the glass beads show up well against a light background. However a light colour is more likely to show the dirt (and coffee, icecream, hot dog stains! - you name it, it's been spilled on my stall!)
so a fabric which washes easily.

Here is some inspiraton from flickr groups Arts & Cratfs Fairs & Shows and Show Me your Booths

I just love this earring display by AdornedbyRobin!

Do you have any suggestions?
What do you use to cover your tables?
What do you think looks nice?

Tuesday's treasuries (on Wednesday!)

Well I am a bit behind with my treasury posts!
Weeks behind as well as a day behind.

I would like to thank these lovely people for chosing my bits and pieces in their collections!

Mandy of Radicalglass put a tshirt fromBoosTees in this dark one -

and one of BoosTees new brooches in this one -

I think this pendant of Mandy's is gorgeous and would fit in her dark night treasury -

Got style? Got beauty? Got minimalism?
Then you might love this treasury, which included Freda Owl tshirt by BoosTees -

artsyfartsymemories has a far from minimalist store - it is so pretty and full of shabby chic goodies, like these adorable tags. Yum!

Great shop name too!

Sharonclancydesigns obviously had purple and yellow on her mind when she created these two beauties -

Many thanks Sharon for including BoosTees mitts.

Sharonclancydesigns sells the most luscious jewellery.
These are my weakness being earrings and in my favorite colour!

And she obviously has a penchant for puns!

Finally I have been playing with the new treasury east, and having a bit of fun too!

Starting with one following on from my blog post - Mad about orange!

and my daughter's love of bare tree branches -

This one was inspired by Tractorgirls cushion -

Finally - I was searching for a colour description for a headband I had knitted.
My twitter and facebook friends made several suggestions - one of which was the name of my friends kitchen wall colour!
Savannah clay.

So my savannah treasury was born.

Where do you find inspiration to create treasuries?

Mad about - chickens!

I am mad about chickens!

If you have been to my house you will have seen how mad about chickens I am!
And I just have to keep adding to my collection.

Here are some that I have bought recently -

and my newest acquisition -

I'm fond of quirky chickens -

as well as more traditional ones -

The wilder the better!

and the totally cool ones -

I'm also partial to a vintage or retro chicken or two -

I also love reading about other people's chooks - pop over to Life in the Dome if you do too.

Beaks up! who else is mad about chickens?
